Supporting Our Veterans through the RSL ANZAC Appeal

As ANZAC Day approaches, the team at Flagworld are honoured to share more about our ongoing commitment to supporting our veterans and their families through our partnership with the RSL. We have always been honoured by our relationship with the RSL and its many subbranches around Australia, and we proudly donate to the RSL ANZAC Appeal each year, driven by our Lest We Forget commemorative flag range. 

At Flagworld, we are committed to giving back to those who have given so much for our country. Our partnership with the RSL ANZAC Appeal allows us to contribute directly to the support of veterans and their families. This year, we are increasing our support by donating 10% of the purchase price of each stock Lest We Forget flag to increase our impact towards this vital cause. With every purchase of our commemorative Lest We Forget flags, customers not only receive a symbol of remembrance, but also play an important role in supporting our veterans.

"More recently, since 2019, Flagworld has been a supporter of RSL Victoria’s ANZAC Appeal donating almost $30,000 to support veterans and their families. This support continues in 2024, with Flagworld donating proceeds from a select range of flags to the ANZAC Appeal” said Sue Cattermole, RSL Victoria Chief Executive Officer.

The RSL ANZAC Appeal plays a crucial role in supporting veterans and their families around Australia. Through a range of programs and services, the ANZAC Appeal provides vital assistance to those who have served our country, ensuring they receive the care and support they deserve. The RSL ANZAC Appeal touches the lives of countless veterans and their families, offering them hope and support in times of need. 

Donations to the RSL ANZAC Appeal support veterans through ex-service organisations, wellbeing and support initiatives, and assistance with compensation claims. The RSL also works to encourage mateship and reduce social isolation for our veterans, which is vital to support mental and physical health. 

It is our hope that our range of commemorative ANZAC Day flags continue to bolster the enduring spirit of ANZAC Day across Australia, and that our donation to the ANZAC Appeal, thanks to the support of our fellow Australians, makes a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families.

As we prepare to commemorate ANZAC Day, let us remember the sacrifices of our servicemen and women and honour those who have bravely served and sacrificed for our nation. We can all play a part in supporting our veterans and continuing to uphold the spirit of ANZAC Day.
